Hi, and thanks for your assistance.

Now sorted, issue was low voltage on pin 1, found a crook connection on ignition feed and once fixed was able to obtain connection with correct 5v and interrogate the ecu

Ecu running M48-V60 TC PC running M48-V62 so I loaded 6.0 o to the pc and now all working

I think that means I need to find someone here in Melb with a M48 SUU so that I can upgrade to 6.2 ?????

Glad you found the problem.

M4 & M4-8 use the same SUU, One of the dealers should have one but the next problem is will they have a laptop to run
DOS software!

Is there software that I also have to locate as well as the SUU?

I now have several PC's that run dos, on Win 98, Win XP and Win 7

The M4 install has the upgrade software included.

Ok, on to the next step, the existing M48 set up I have was on a twin turbo v6 and I am now fitting it to a twin turbo V8, I have the M48, an ignition expander Motec IEX EPS 0010 and presently 2 X M&W Ignitions ECU3, which I believe are 3 coil ignition modules ie 6 in total and I now need 8
Any suggestions on what I should buy to replace the M&W igniters so as to go from 6 to 8 cylinders ?
Should I go inductive or CDI ? What best suits the existing Motec components that I already have?
