M1 Tune 1.5: A new era in Tune
Explore the new features

Experience M1 differently with the new Tune 1.5.

With a modernised look and usability enhancements throughout, MoTeC’s new Tune 1.5 software is designed to optimise workflow and streamline the M1 tuning and configuration experience.

Those familiar with Tune 1.4 will notice a fresh, highly intuitive interface, improved navigation and a host of smart tools, some of which we have highlighted below.

New workspace features and views have been implemented, while integration with ECU data – both live and logged - has been taken to the next level.

Sidebar Navigation

One of the most noticeable changes in Tune 1.5 is the sidebar and workspace functionality. The move to a sidebar configuration facilitates more efficient use of the software and provides a larger screen area for tuning parameters.

The sidebar navigation comprises 10 essential workspaces covering every aspect of the ECU:
Summary, Resources, Features, Adjust, Logging, Zero sensors, Status, Alarms, Monitor, Notifications. This is consistent for all users.

Explore the revamped workspaces in the video:

Export PC Telemetry from M1 Tune to i2

A new feature in Tune 1.5 is the ability to export ECU telemetry data from the time graph into an LD file for review in i2 at a later point in time.

Import Data from i2 to M1 Tune

In conjunction with the ability to export ECU telemetry data out of Tune 1.5, we have introduced the flexibility to bring logged i2 data into M1 Tune for offline tuning and review.

Table Slice View

A table slice view has been added in Tune 1.5 for another form of data visualisation. This adjustment mechanism provides a 2D view of the graph that is easier to understand, enabling more informed changes when editing an Adjust table.

Map Trails

Map trace functionality has been added to Tune 1.5 for easier visualisation of the history of the operating site in a table, providing a better understanding of how the table is being used. The trace function can be configured as dots or a combination of dots and a line, with a user-definable tracing duration.

Multiple Windows

Move any workspace to a second window with a simple click. Multiple workspaces can be open on different screens simultaneously, enabling more efficient use of the software.

An example use case is a dyno environment, where all relevant channels can be displayed in the Monitor workspace on one screen, while the Adjust workspace is open on another. This flexibility allows tuners to see everything at once.

Touch Friendly Controls

Tune 1.5 is now more friendly for touchscreen capable devices with the addition of several touch controls to the calibration parameters. Some of the interface buttons are still visible for non-touch screen users if the preference is selected, however items such as the keypad will only be visible for those with touchscreens.

Advanced Filter

An Advanced toggle button has been implemented to simplify the list of parameters in the Adjust tree when the focus is on tuning essential items. This reduces the distraction of advanced functions when they are not required, enabling users to find critical parameters quickly. Faster keyboard navigation within the Adjust tree leads to a more efficient navigation of the Adjust workspace.

Dynamic Help

The Help navigation panel allows users to click any parameter mentioned in the panel to automatically navigate to that parameter in the software. The same Help panel remains open to guide users through the setup.
